TAPA Outdoor Education Programme

At TAPA, we run a comprehensive Outdoor Education Programme designed to challenge students, build resilience, and develop practical skills through real outdoor experiences.
Our students take part in a wide range of activities, including:
Hiking
Mountain Biking
Orienteering
Rock Climbing
Team Building
Expedition Skills
These activities allow students to gain confidence, independence and leadership skills, while exploring and respecting the natural environment.

Qualifications and Awards

As part of the programme, students have the opportunity to work towards several recognised outdoor and adventure qualifications, helping them develop both technical skills and employability.
This programme also dovetails naturally with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, supporting students through all levels of the award structure.
Skills learned during outdoor sessions directly support:
  • Physical section
  • Skills section
